Sacraments

  • Baptism

Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation and the foundation of our life in Christ. Through Baptism, we are freed from sin, become children of God, and are welcomed into the Catholic Church. Baptisms are celebrated throughout the year for infants.  The OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults) program is the step-by-step process—formerly known as RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)—through which adults and older children learn about the Catholic faith and prepare to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist) to become full members of the Catholic Church at Easter.

  • Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Confession, offers God’s mercy, forgiveness, and healing. Through this sacrament, we are reconciled with God and the Church and receive the grace to grow in holiness. Regular participation helps strengthen our relationship with Christ and renew our spiritual lives.

  • First Communion

First Holy Communion is a joyful milestone in the life of a Catholic. Through the Eucharist, we receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and are united more deeply with Him and the Church. Children typically prepare for this sacrament through a parish formation program. Please contact the parish office for registration and preparation information.

  • Confirmation

Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism and strengthens us through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. In this sacrament, Catholics are empowered to live their faith more fully and witness to Christ in their daily lives. Preparation is available for youth and adults seeking to receive the sacrament.

  • Marriage

The Sacrament of Matrimony is a sacred covenant in which a man and woman are united in Christ for a lifelong partnership of love and faithfulness. Couples planning to marry should contact the parish at least six months in advance to begin the preparation process and discuss wedding arrangements.

  • Anointing of the Sick

The Anointing of the Sick brings spiritual strength, peace, and healing to those who are seriously ill, facing surgery, or experiencing the challenges of advanced age. Through prayer and anointing with blessed oil, Christ offers comfort and grace. If you or a loved one would like to receive this sacrament, please contact the parish office.
